Day (1) Yangon Arrival by morning flight
Arrive Yangon airport by morning flight. Meet and welcome at the airport by
our Green Palace experienced guide. On way to hotel, visit Mindama Hill where
the world biggest white marble Buddha Image is situated and also to see the (3)
white elephants. Your Journey begins with an afternoon tour through Yangon's
colonial-style city center. Visit SULE PAGODA, dating back over 2,000 years ago;
the magnificent reclining Buddha at CHAUK HTAT GYI; and after a photo stop at
the KARAWEIK HALL, a 'hamsa-bird-shaped' floating barge on Kandawgyi (Royal)
Lake, stroll through the BOGYOKE (SCOTTS) MARKET with hundreds of food, clothes,
handicrafts and gems stores, Complete your first day in Myanmar with an extended
visit to one of the world's most spectacular monuments, the SHWEDAGON PAGODA.
Lunch and dinner to own account.
Overnight stay at Dusit Inya Lake Hotel (5*), Grand Plaza Park Royal Hotel (5*),
Traders Hotel (5*), Sedona Hotel (5*) or similar etc; in Yangon.
Day (2) Yangon - Bagan (Nyaung Oo) (by flight)
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for domestic flight
to BAGAN. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. After a stroll through the
colorful local Nyaung Oo Market continue the day with visits to the most
significant pagodas the temples of Bagan including SHWEZIGON PAGODA, built by
King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine; KU BYANUK GYI, a
temple with superb murals of Jataka scenes; ANANDA TEMPLE, with four standing
Buddha images.
After lunch, visit one of Myanmar's most treasured handicrafts, a lacquer ware
craftsmen's workshop in nearby MYINKABA village. You will continue to MNUHA
TEMPLE, built in the Mon-style in 1059 and follow on to NANBAYA TEMPLE, a unique
sandstone monument said to have been the palace of King Manuha. Next you will
explore the MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI TEMPLE, a temple noteworthy for its mural
paintings under the protection of UNESCO. The ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM is also
visited to view the beautiful Buddha images of bronze, stone and lacquer.
Proceed to BUPAYA PAGODA or MINGALA ZEDI STUPA to watch the sunset over the
famous Ayeyarwaddy River.
Dinner at a riverside restaurant and overnight stay at Bagan Hotel or Thazin
Garden Hotel (3*) or similar in Bagan.
Day (3) Bagan - Salay - Bagan (by car)
After breakfast, morning drive to Salay where you can observe Yoke Sone (Youpson)
Kyaung, the oldest surviving wooden monastery hall bearing the original
120-year-old sculptures, which include nearly three dimensional carvings of 19th
century court life, Jatakas and Ramayana Tales. Lunch at local restaurant.
Return to Bagan and visit Damayangyi Temple, the biggest volume in Bangan,
SularMuni Temple and AlodawPyae Pagoda and monastery. Dinner at local restaurant
and O/N at the hotel.
Day (4) Bagan - Mt. Popa - Bagan (by car)
After breakfast, drive to Mt. Popa, the core of an extinct volcano last
active 25,000 years ago, known as the Mt Olympus' of Myanmar, the abode of
Myanmar's most powerful Nats, the most important nat worship centre. Lunch at
local restaurant. Return to Bagan and visit Bagan Archaeological Museum, Phwar
Saw and Myinkaba villages to see village lives, Tharapa Old Gate, lacquer ware
and handicraft shops and workshop. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the
hotel.
Day (5) Bagan- Mandalay (by flight)
After breakfast, morning transfer to
airport for flight to Mandalay. Arrive
Mandalay in the morning and transfer to hotel. Morning sightseeing will include
visit to Mahamuni Image covered with very thick layer of pure gold leaves
weighing between 3-5 tons on the body except face, Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Oak
Kyaung, a brick and stucco monastery. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch
visit to Zey-gyo-daw Market, Mandalay's famous and biggest market, Golden palace
(ex palace of former Myanmar kings newly built as the original style and
design), Atumashi (the unrivalled) Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda know as the world
biggest book with the collection of 729 stone slabs on which are inscribed the
whole of Buddhist scripture at the foot of Mandalay Hill, then climb up to the
Mandalay Hill Top to see sunset on the Ayeyawaddy River and Mandalay city view.
Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (6) Mandalay - Mingun - Mandalay (by boat & car)
After breakfast morning boat trip to Mingun, just 12km on the west bank
upstream from Mandalay. Upon arrival, visit Pondaw Paya, a five meter high
working model for gigantic structure; Settawya Paya, the vaulted shrine with a
footprint of the Buddha; Mingun Pahtotagyi Paya, one of the world's largest
chides built by Bodaw Paya; the World renowned ringing, Mingun bell weighing 90
tons; Hsinbyume Paya, a representation of the Sulamani Paya which stands atop
Mt. Meru. Return to Mandalay. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon sightseeing
includes Shwe Inbin Monastery, one of the rare specimens of typical Myanmar
architecture; and Tapestry Workshop. Shwenandaw Kyaung or Golden Palace
Monastery, a superb traditional wooden building; continue to Marble carving and
Bronze carving workshops. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the Hotel.
Day (7) Mandalay- Amarapura- AVA - Sagaing - Mandalay (by car)
After breakfast, morning excursion to Amarapura, 11km south of Mandalay.
This trip will take you to Mahagandayon Monastery where more than a thousand
monks live and study, to see their last meal of the day in total silence.
Continue to U Pein Wooden Bridge built in 1782 using only wood even nail. And
observe Myanma traditional hand-woven silk workshop. Continue to AVA, tour
highlights include the 27-metre-high Masonry Watch Tower, Nanmyint (or) the
''Leaning Tower of AVA"; AVA Bagaya Monastery built with 276 teak pillars and
observe Myanma tradition Alms bowls workshop. Lunch at local restaurant. After
lunch cross AVA Bridge, built by British engineers, to visit picturesque Sagaing
Hill which perhaps the living centre of Buddhist faith in Myanmar today.
Hillsides are dotted with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Continue to visit
Kaunghmudaw Pagoda, with its huge egg - shaped dome in Ceylonese style. In the
evening, enjoy the sunset from the Sagaing Hill. Return to Mandalay. Dinner at
local restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (8) Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin (by car)
After breakfast, morning drive to Pyin Oo Lwin, a hill resort town over
1,000 meters high on the Shan plateau about 60 km far from Mandalay. After
arriving Pyin Oo Lwin, transfer to hotel. After a short rest, visit to Botanical
Garden, Pyin Oo Lwin market and colonial buildings, lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch proceed to Peik Chim Myaung cave and water falls about 18 km far
from Pyin Oo Lwin. See the wonder of the cave. Return to Pyin Oo Lwin. Dinner at
local restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (9) Pyin Oo Lwin - Mandalay (by car)
After breakfast, morning sightseeing to National Royal Lake Park. Lunch at
local restaurant at Pyin Oo Lwin. After lunch return to Mandalay by car. Arrive
Mandalay in the evening and transfer to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant and
O/N at the hotel.
Day (10) Mandalay - Monywa (by car)
After breakfast, drive to Monywa through Inwa (AVA) bridge seeing the
pleasant village lives. After visiting Moe Nyin Than Bodde Pagoda, arrive Monywa
and transfer to hotel. After taking a short rest at the hotel, lunch at a local
restaurant and visit by boat to Yinmarpin Township which is situated on the
other side of the river. And then proceed to Hpo Win Taung. And go back to
Monywa through Chindwin River. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (11) Monywa - Mandalay (by car)
After breakfast, a short sightseeing in the downtown area of Monywa. Lunch
at local restaurant. After lunch, drive back to Mandalay. Arrive Mandalay in the
evening. Transfer to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the hotel.
Day (12) Mandalay - (Heho) Inle Lake (by flight)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Heho. Arrive Heho in the
morning and continue to Inle Lake by car about 1 hour drive. Transfer to hotel.
Sightseeing start by boat to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, where sacred and almost
shapeless Buddha Image are housed, to one village which turn for 5 day rotation
market, floating village of Heya Ywama and weaving village of Inpawkon. Lunch at
a floating village. After lunch visit Nga-phe Chaung Monastery better known as
jumping cat monastery for its wonder of trained cats, other floating gardens and
canals. To see native's method of rowing by leg, method of fishing, Shan
shoulders bag weaving workshop in Nan Pan village on the lake. Dinner and O/N at
the hotel.
Day (13) Inle Lake Sightseeing (by boat)
After breakfast, visit by boat to Intain village. Lunch there. After lunch
drive back and round the lake by boat from one floating village to another, one
floating garden to another and one floating canal to another. Dinner and O/N at
the hotel.
Day (14) Inle Lake (Heho) - Yangon (by flight)
After breakfast transfer to airport for return flight to Yangon. Arrive
Yangon in the late morning. Transfer to hotel and after a short rest, lunch at
local restaurant. After lunch, visit Chauk Htut Gyi Reclining Buddha Image, Kaba
Aye (World Peace) Pagoda, Tooth relic Pagoda and Gem Museum. And then a short
visit to China town for strolling. Dinner at local restaurant and O/N at the
hotel.
Day (15) Yangon departure by morning flight
After breakfast, leisure time till transfer to airport for departure flight.
