Myanmar Travel - Tour Program: GPT (6)

Duration: 10 days / 9 nights itinerary
Coverage Areas: Yangon- Bagan (Nyaung Oo)- Mandalay- Mingun – Mandalay - Pindaya- Inle- Heho- Yangon


Day (1) Yangon Arrival by morning flight

After breakfast, you can take balloon ride orBagan go Phwar Saw village where you can learn the natural Bagan city rampart. And then, go Phayarthonesu which is very small but there are mutual paintings to learn the three dynasties. After that you can study the pagoda which is built by Tayokepyay king and then visit view tower that you can see the whole Bagan place. Have lunch and after lunch, visit Nghatpyit taung in Nyaung U. There are cave existed for 900 years. Then proceed to Lawkananda tooth relic pagoda and then go to lacquer ware business. After that go back to hotel, dinner O/N at hotel.

Day (2) Yangon-Bagan (Nyuang Oo) by flight

BaganMorning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit hundred colorful Nyaung Oo local market; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupas; Ananda temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross; Sulamini temple, the paintings inside believed to be the original and oldest remained in Bagan; Dhamayangyi, a massive temple with a finest brickwork and lacquer ware workshop. To see Manuha Pagoda, Mya Zaydi, Gupyaukgyi Pagoda, late evening enjoy the sunset on top of the Shwesandaw pagoda or Pyatthatgyi temple. Dinner at one of the good local restaurant overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

Day (3) Bagan (Nyaung Oo) Sightseeing

Day (4) Bagan (Nyaung Oo) – Mandalay by boat

MandalayAfter breakfast morning transfer to Jetty for upstream to Mandalay. Following Rudyard Kipling's Road to Mandalay Poem, enjoy the natural scenic beauty and the ways of life along Ayeyarwady River. Lunch on boat. Arrive Mandalay in the evening and short sightseeing & downtown area by private to A/C car. Then transfer to hotel. Dinner at good local restaurant and O/N at the hotel.

Day (5) Mandalay Sightseeing

After breakfast at your hotel, visit to Mahamuni,Mandalay live like Buddha image, and then drive to Amarapura. Visit Mahagandayon Monastery where over a thousand of monks who take their last meal of the day in total silence; Gold leaf making workshop; Tapestry workshop; Marble sculptures. Afternoon visit to the Central Grand Palace; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world largest book for its 729 marble slabs inscribed with the Buddha's Doctrine; Golden Palace Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carving and Atumashi (incomparable) Monastery; Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, a huge image curved out of a single block of marble. Enjoy the panoramic view of the city on Mandalay Hill. Dinner at good local restaurant & overnight at your hotel.

Day (6) Mandalay – Amarapura-Mandalay- Mingun - Mandalay (by boat & car)

Mandalay morning flight. From airport to AmarapuraMandalay start detail sightseeing, This trip will take you to Mahagandayon Monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study, to see their last meal of the day in total silence. Continue to U Pein Wooden Bridge built in 1782 and about 1 km long, using only wood even nail, sightseeing will include visit to Mahamuni Image covered with very thick layer of pure gold leaves weighing between 3-5 tons on the body except face, continue to see Marble carving and Bronze carving workshops. After that check in your hotel, short rest. Lunch at one of the famous restaurant then drive by special chatter boat trip to Mingun just 12km on the west bank upstream from Mandalay. Upon arrival, visit Pondaw Paya, a five meter high working model for gigantic structure; Settawya Paya, the vaulted shrine with a footprint of the Buddha; Mingun Pahtotagyi Paya, one of the world's largest chides built by Bodaw Paya; the World renowned ringing, Mingun bell weighing 90 tons; Hsinbyume Paya, a representation of the Sulamani Paya which stands atop Mt. Meru. Return to Mandalay. Dinner at local Myanmar or Chinese or other food famous restaurant O/N at the hotel.

Day (7) Mandalay – Pindaya – Inle Lake (by car)

After breakfast, drive from hotel. On theMandalay way, you can learn the towns and villages with different lifestyle. The weather is changed from warm to cool weather. There are many trees and plants along the street which are always cypress. Then the ground is coming high that there are Shan ranges. After 5 hours drive, arrive to Pindaya. Pindaya cave thousands of Buddha image placed there by pilgrimages over many centuries and paper making and umbrella making home cottage workshops. Lunch there. In Pindaya, sightseeing, shopping and you will see the Shan people who own fair and soft skin. After that, proceed to Nyaung Shwe. On way, you will see that women do the agriculture. In Aungban town, there is main road to Taunggyi. At Nyaung Shwe, short sightseeing in downtown area. To go hotel at Inle Lake, you have to go jetty and take special chatter boat to your floating hotel. Arrive to hotel evening and take a rest, dinner and O/N at hotel.

Day (8) Inle Sightseeing

After breakfast at hotel. Begins a fulldayMandalay sightseeing by charter boat on Inle lake to one village which turn for 5 day rotation market, floating village of Heya Ywama and weaving, which the highlights are the unique and famous leg–rowering, typical floating hundred colorful market; floating garden and fishing method; Visits to Phaung–daw-Oo pagoda; Ngaphekyaung old temple to see the show of jumping cat. Lunch at the floating restaurant. After lunch Continue visit to Inpawkhon village, Padaung tribes (long neck women) silk weaving village. Dinner and O/N at the your hotel.

Day (9) Inle- Heho- Yangon

After breakfast, visit around the villages inMandalay Inle Lake all area. The villagers are grown up there and do the agriculture on the water by collecting fertilizer and plant. The season fruits, vegetables are produced. Lunch at famous floating restaurant and then go back to your hotel. Then return to Nyaung Shwe jetty by special chatter boat and from there to Heho airport by car and go back Yangon by evening flight. Transfer to your hotel. Arrive Yangon in the evening and dinner at famous restaurant, then proceed to China Town for strolling & O/N at the hotel.

Day (10) Yangon Departure by evening flight

After breakfast, visit Chauk Htut Gyi Reclining Buddha Image, Kaba Aye (World Peace) Pagoda, Tooth relic Pagoda and Gem Museum. Lunch at local restaurant. Then continue to study Nagar Glass factory, then short visit to China town for strolling and transfer to Yangon airport for evening departure.
